Cruise-In & Adopt A Cop
Lock Up Photos

This is a photo taken of the Gansters hanging out at Hardee's.
If you can identify them, please call 555-555-0000 Now!
You could receive an award!

This Special Cruise-In and Chesterfield County Police Fund Raiser brought out more than just Chesterfield Residents.

And guess where everyone came from? They came from as far away as Dewitt, Amelia, Powhatan, Mechanicsville, and Varina. They all came to help and to have fun. As several said, this was to be the "Big Blowout" to end of the cruise-in season and would be a real blast. They came to enjoy the Fun!

He's What? It was all his idea!

Best Friends locked up Best Friends, Wifes their Husbands, Ex's their Ex's, Employees their Bosses, and so it went the entire night. Hey, even the Chesterfield County Police Officers locked up other Officers! Everyone knew it was all in fun and for a good cause. The Lock raised $3808.00 in just three hours. Another check was received afterward in the amount of $25.00 bringing the total raised to $3833.00. The Award for the "Biggest Jail Bird" went to Welvis, the Elvis Look-A-Like. The "Club Participation" went to Oldies But Goodies Classic Cruisers Car Club.

This was the way to have fun and at the same time for the residents of Chesterfield & car hobbyists to show the Officers that protect us daily that "We Care" and at the same time help the community in which we live.

Special Thanks goes to Hardee's and Boddie-Noell Enterprises for hosting the event. To Pastor David Price of Victory Tabernacle Chuch for the loan of the Jail Front. Gosh, it made a world of difference, as you said it would. To Jamie's Exhaust & Auto Repair of Richmond for donating the complete exhaust system that was placed in the silent auction to raise money. To Herman (Rucker Posey), Lily & Eddie Munster with the Munster Car, Welvis & Precilla, Shamock, Indiana Jones, Sasquatch, and any other that I may have missed. You are what made to difference in with this event. Everyone came for fun and you made sure they had fun.

If you didn't get a chance to attend and want to make a donation, call Bobbie Balch of the Southern Knights Cruisers at 804-530-2225 or Sgt.Hellerstedt of the Chesterfield County Police at 804-778-4550. Or if you like, just drop a check by the Police Station nearest you and tell them what its for. Mention the Adopt A Cop Lock Up! We thank you!

Come on down and join us in the fun next Spring! We will be looking for you!
